Why we started with the software
Electric vehicles are replacing combustion cars as the default way people move around, and that switch needs one of the largest infrastructure build-outs of our lifetime. Almost all of it will be paid for by ordinary businesses — a hotel, a housing association, a logistics depot, a regional operator — not by anyone with a dedicated EV team.
Those buyers do not have a hardware problem. Chargers are a commodity and getting cheaper every year. What is hard is everything after the unit is on the wall: keeping it online, deciding who may use it, setting a price, taking the money, getting the money out, and knowing whether the site was worth building. That is software, and it is where projects quietly fail.
So WattWisely is software-first. We run a hosted, multi-tenant charging station management system that any OCPP charger can connect to, with a driver app, integrated payments and automated withdrawals on top.

No lock-in, by design
The platform is hardware-agnostic and speaks open OCPP. If you ever want to leave, you point your chargers at another backend and go. We would rather earn the renewal than trap it.
Open by default
Everything the dashboard can do is available over the REST API on the Enterprise plan, and roaming runs on open OCPI as a module any network can switch on. If you want to build your own front-end on top of us, that is a supported path, not a special case.
Priced to start small
Priced per port with no upfront license fee, and the cost only grows as the network does. A site should not need a budget approval before anyone knows whether it will be used.
